For the first few weeks of school, scholars at GPMN couldn't go on the grass. They had to stay on the playground and the blacktop. Here's why.

When you lay new sod, you have to let it dry and get its roots into the ground before you step on it. If you step on it, then it might die before the roots go in so it can't grow again.
